Biden says an attack at the airport in Kabul is ‘highly likely’ in the next 24 to 36 hours

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden stated in a press release Saturday that his nationwide safety group warned an assault on the airport in Kabul is “extremely seemingly within the subsequent 24-36 hours.”

“The scenario on the bottom continues to be extraordinarily harmful, and the specter of terrorist assaults on the airport stays excessive,” Biden stated, including that he directed U.S. commanders to “take each doable measure to prioritize pressure safety.”

The most recent risk evaluation follows a U.S. drone strike that killed two high-profile ISIS-Ok members.

“I stated we might go after the group liable for the assault on our troops and harmless civilians in Kabul, and we’ve got,” Biden stated of the drone strike. “This strike was not the final,” he added. “We’ll proceed to search out any individual concerned in that heinous assault and make them pay,” the president stated.
